Positive Behaviour Support
Specialist Support Coordination is an advanced level of NDIS support for participants with complex needs who require skilled assistance to manage their NDIS plans. It focuses on addressing high-risk situations, coordinating multiple services, and resolving barriers that prevent participants from accessing essential supports. Specialist Support Coordinators work closely with participants, families, and service providers to develop tailored strategies, stabilise challenging situations, and build capacity for future independence. This service ensures that participants can effectively navigate the complexities of the NDIS while achieving their goals in a safe and supportive environment.
Early Childhood Intervention
Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) provides specialised support for children with developmental delays or disabilities, focusing on enhancing their development and ability to participate in daily activities. Tailored to each child’s unique needs, ECI includes therapies like speech, occupational, and physiotherapy to build essential skills such as communication, motor abilities, and social interaction. Delivered in a child’s natural environments, such as home or childcare, ECI empowers families and caregivers with strategies to support the child’s growth, aiming to improve long-term outcomes and independence during the critical early years of life.
Occupational Therapy
Specialist Support Coordination
Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is an evidence-based approach designed to improve quality of life by understanding and addressing behaviours of concern in individuals with disabilities. It focuses on proactive, person-centred strategies that identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviours, aiming to reduce them by building skills and making positive changes in the environment. PBS promotes the development of functional, social, and communication skills while ensuring dignity and wellbeing, ultimately enhancing the individual's ability to engage more fully in their community and daily life.
Occupational Therapy (OT) is a therapeutic approach that helps individuals with disabilities or functional challenges participate more fully in everyday activities. By assessing a person’s physical, cognitive, and environmental needs, OTs create tailored interventions that improve their ability to perform tasks such as self-care, work, or social interactions. OT supports skill development, recommends assistive devices, and suggests modifications to the home or work environment to increase independence, enhance quality of life, and promote participation in meaningful activities.
