Occupational Therapy
At Meaningful Lives WA (MLWA), our Occupational Therapy (OT) services are designed to empower individuals with disabilities to engage in the activities that matter most to them. As an NDIS registered provider, we offer a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach that enhances independence and promotes participation in daily life. Our mobile OT services meet participants in their natural environments—whether at home, school, or in the community—ensuring that support is provided in the most comfortable and effective settings.
Our experienced Occupational Therapists conduct comprehensive functional assessments to understand each participant’s unique abilities, challenges, and environmental factors. We then work closely with participants to create personalised, goal-oriented therapy plans, designed to align with their preferences and aspirations. Whether it's improving fine motor skills, enhancing cognitive strategies, or supporting social interaction, we help individuals develop the skills they need to perform daily tasks more independently.
At MLWA, we are experts in modifying tasks and environments to promote accessibility and safety. From recommending assistive technology and equipment to suggesting home modifications, our therapists provide practical, evidence-based solutions that improve participants' quality of life. We also focus on capacity building, enabling individuals to manage everyday activities confidently while participating more fully in their communities, workplaces, or educational settings.
Our OT reports are clear, actionable, and participant-centred, ensuring that all stakeholders understand the plan and how it supports the participant’s journey towards greater independence. At MLWA, we believe in fostering safety, trust, and positive relationships, offering the highest standard of care with a values-based approach that truly makes a difference in people’s lives.
